What you have found here is an Anglo-Saxon coin circa  AD 796 -805 It is made of silver and bears the name of Coenwulf

A Fantastic find by any standard, well done!

Coenwulf or Cenwulf was King of Mercia or modern day midlands. He succeeded Ecgfrith, son of Offa.  Coenwulf appears to have lost some of his control of  of East Anglia because coins appear under Eadwald. Coenwulf's coins reappear circa 805.
